This privacy policy explains how Matrix Productions Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17201494), collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use the qPlayer application for iPhone, iPad, and Mac, and the my.qplayer.app web portal (together, the "Service"). We are committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

3. Information We Collect
3.1 Account Information
qPlayer works offline without an account. If you choose to sign in (for v1 migration or qPlayer Install), we may receive your name, email address, and a unique account identifier via Apple Sign-In or Google Sign-In. If you sign in with Apple and choose to hide your email, we receive only a private relay address.
3.2 Purchase & Payment Data
Payments are processed by Apple (App Store). We do not receive or store your full payment card details. We receive confirmation of your purchase status, transaction identifiers, and purchase dates.
3.3 Media Files
Your audio and video files are stored locally on your devices. Media is moved between your devices directly (Show Transfer over your local network, or AirDrop) or through your own iCloud storage; it is not uploaded to servers we operate. We do not access, analyse, or share the content of your media files.
3.4 Usage Data
We may collect anonymised analytics such as app launches, feature usage, and crash reports to improve the Service. This data cannot be used to identify you personally.
3.5 Device Information
We may collect device type, operating system version, and app version for compatibility and support purposes.
4. How We Use Your Data
We use your personal data for the following purposes:
- To provide and maintain the Service.
- To manage your account and process App Store purchases.
- To communicate with you about your account, updates, or support requests.
- To improve the Service through anonymised analytics.

- Payment processors: Apple (App Store one-time purchases).

Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside the United Kingdom, including the United States (where our cloud infrastructure providers operate). Such transfers are safeguarded by Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions as required by UK GDPR.

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data and media files within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain certain records.

- Erase your personal data ("right to be forgotten").

The qPlayer website and web portal use essential cookies required for authentication and session management. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

12. Security
